Musicians, performers, and technicians are all responsible for providing top notch entertainment for guests.

Applicants must have impressive land based experience. These positions are competitive.

Orchestra Musicians

Musicians must be able to play a vide variety of music including broadway style theater productions, jazz, and modern. Impeccable sight reading skills are an absolute must. You should be comfortable playing with a click track.

Must pass an audition.

Must have impeccable sight reading skills.

Must be able to play in a wide range of musical styles.

Must be able to learn a set with little to no rehearsal time.

Should have experience playing with a click track.

College degree preferred.

Bands

Does your band know how to read a crowd and get the party started? There are several kinds of bands that work on board, but all should have a very large song catalog comprised of at least 200 songs.  You will get requests often, so flexibility is key, regardless of your style ! You will be interacting with cruising guests, so having an engaging personality is important.  Bands perform in various venues throughout the ship such as lounges, the pool deck, and atrium.

Previous performance experience required.

Must have a large repertoire.

Must have a versatile musical style.

These positions are highly competitive.

Must submit demo reel.

 

Light Technicians

Light Technicians run shows with timecode or design an entire show from scratch in about 1 hour.  You should be proficient with using timecode, fog systems, calling spot cues, and doing routine light maintenance.  

Must have experience  experience in a similar role.

Must know live performance lighting, lighting control consoles, programs, and show control systems.

Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures. 

Strong programming and operational experience on HOG, GrandMa, Avolites and EOS systems preferred.

Audio Technicians

Audio Technicians mix for front of house and monitors. You should be proficient with using timecode, setting monitor mixes, PA mixes, and in ear setups. Theatrical experience is desired, as you will be mixing production singers and a full orchestra.  You should feel confident with programming your console in less than one hour for a brand new show.

Must have experience in live sound reinforcement and musical theater.

Must be proficient using analog consoles, digital mixers, and recording devices.

Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on audio gear.

Lounge Technicians

Lounge Technicians run both audio and lighting console in various venues throughout the ship such as bars, lounges, pool deck, dining rooms, and common areas. Troubleshooting and maintenance skills are desirable.

Must have solid knowledge of analog and digital mixing consoles. 

Must have knowledge of backline equipment such as guitar, keyboard and bass guitar amplifiers.

Must be able to physically set up and strike bands.

Must know proper microphone and stage monitor placement.

Education from a technical school preferred.

 

Broadcast Technicians

Broadcast technicians operate video cameras, edit videos, and manage broadcast feeds. You should be proficient with patching feeds and maintaining broadcast equipment. You will have interactions with guests during events, so you should feel comfortable working in diverse crowds. Previous experience is required.

Must be able operate the shipboard video media systems such as broadcast television systems, video systems in entertainment venues, show support, Coolux video systems, video projection, LED video walls, and the networking of all systems related to video and media.  

Video editing skills are desired.

Production Managers

Production Managers are in charge of ensuring all shows run smoothly in their assigned venues throughout the ship. You will be running automation, calling cues, onboarding guest entertainers, and managing administrative aspects of the entertainment department. You will have a large team working underneath you including all technicians and production casts. You should have noteworthy theatrical experience to be considered. This is not an entry level position. 

Must have similar land based experience. This is not an entry level position.

Desired applicants should have broadway level or similar experience.

Must be capable of managing a large team including technicians, production cast, and guest entertainers.

Must work with other departments to plan and execute various events in the theater or other venues.

Rigging Specialists

Riggers are in charge of performer flying systems, maintenance of all rigging equipment such as motors, hoists, lifts, drums, and automation systems. You should be very well experienced and/or certified to be considered for this position. Less experienced riggers may qualify for a rigger’s assistant position.

Must have experience with theatrical rigging systems such as motors, lines, hoists, tracks, drives, lifts, silks and harness equipment.

Must be able to program  PC or PLC-based systems.

Must be able to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all rigging-related systems.

Stage Technicians

Stage Technicians ensure the safety of performers by clearing scenery movements, set up and strike stages, prepare for events around the ship, assist with guest entertainer performances backstage, and run follow spots. You should have basic knowledge of stage directions, audio setups, and lighting maintenance.  Theatrical experience is desirable.

Must have previous experience. Theatrical preferred.

Should have the ability to perform minor repairs.

Applicants with a degree in Technical Theater, Sound, or Lighting preferred.

Background in electrical, audio, lighting, or rigging is preferred.

Aqua Theater Technicians

Aqua Stage Technicians should have similar skills as Stage Technicians, but have an additional scuba certification. You will work in an aqua theater and will be responsible for the safety of divers and aqua performers. You will assist performers underwater or backstage and ensure the set is safe during water stunts. 

Must be scuba certified.

Must have experience as both a diver and stagehand.

Must be able to trouble shoot underwater issues.

Must be able to fix and maintain scuba gear.

DJs

DJs bring the party to life! This is a highly competitive job, so you should have a very impressive resume.

You must read the room and spin songs that will get any crowd to run to the dance floor. You should have an extensive playlist to pick from. You will spin anything from Top 40 to oldies, and everything in between.

DJs also participate in events throughout the ship, so hosting experience is valued.  This includes things such as game shows, ceremonies, and contests. 

Must have noteworthy land based experience.

Must a large catalog of diverse music suitable for any situation. 

Must have strong hosting skills and the ability to engage with any demographic. 

You must be familiar with a variety of equipment such as mixers, compressors, lighting consoles and DJ gear.
